Job Title: Accountant Food & Beverage Industry (USA)

About Us:

We are a fast-growing Food & Beverage group operating multiple restaurant locations across the U.S. We are seeking an experienced Accountant with strong F&B industry knowledge to manage financial operations, cost control, and multi-location reporting.

Job Summary:

The Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, inventory costing, payroll coordination, and compliance for restaurant locations. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in restaurant/F&B accounting and a strong understanding of food cost, labor cost, and unit-level profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage full-cycle accounting (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations)

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Monitor food cost percentage, COGS, and labor cost

Perform inventory reconciliation and variance analysis

Handle vendor payments and manage supplier accounts

Sales tax filings and ensure multi-state compliance

Coordinate payroll processing and labor reporting

Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

Support external CPA during audits and tax filings

Analyze store-level P&L performance

Assist in new store financial setup and cost structuring

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

35+ years of accounting experience in Restaurant/F&B industry (Required)

Strong understanding of restaurant KPIs (Prime Cost, Food Cost %, Labor %, etc.)

Experience with POS integrations and inventory systems

Proficient in QuickBooks, Restaurant365, or similar accounting software

Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and multi-state tax regulations

Strong analytical and reporting skills

Ability to manage multi-location accounting

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with growing restaurant groups

Knowledge of franchise accounting (if applicable)

CPA (preferred but not mandatory)

Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
