Job Purpose

The Academic Counselor is responsible for guiding prospective students by understanding their academic background and career goals, counseling them on suitable programs, and supporting them through the admission and enrollment process to ensure a positive learning journey.

Key Responsibilities

Student Counseling & Guidance

• Counsel students and parents on academic programs, eligibility, curriculum, and career outcomes.
• Understand student needs and recommend suitable courses or learning paths.
• Conduct counseling sessions via calls, video meetings, and in-person interactions.

Admissions & Enrollment Support

• Handle inquiries, walk-ins, and digital leads generated through various channels.
• Explain admission procedures, documentation, and fee structures.
• Follow up with prospects to ensure timely enrollments.

Student Relationship Management

• Build trust and maintain strong relationships with students and parents.
• Address student concerns and coordinate with internal teams for resolution.
• Ensure a smooth onboarding experience post-enrollment.

CRM & Documentation

• Maintain accurate counseling records, follow-ups, and conversions in CRM/MIS.
• Prepare counseling and enrollment reports as required.

Collaboration & Compliance

• Coordinate with academic, marketing, and operations teams.
• Adhere to ethical counseling practices and company policies.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Student-centric and empathetic approach
• Basic understanding of education systems and career pathways
• Proficiency in CRM and MS Office tools

Educational Qualifications

• Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline
• Background in Education, Psychology, or Counseling is an advantage
