Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled L3 VMware engineer with deep expertise across the VMware vRealize Automation (vRA) stack to hypervisor layer. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end management, troubleshooting, and optimization of private cloud automation workflows in a self-supported environment without OEM backing.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and support vRA, vRO, and vCenter integrated environments.

Handle L3-level troubleshooting across automation workflows down to ESXi hypervisor.

Design, modify, and maintain blueprints, catalog items, and lifecycle workflows.

Diagnose and resolve issues across:

vRA provisioning failures

API integrations

VM lifecycle management

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.

Work closely with infrastructure teams (compute, storage, network).

Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and capacity planning.

Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs for a no-support environment.

Required Skills:

Strong experience in:

VMware vRealize Automation (vRA)

VMware vRealize Orchestrator (vRO)

VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter

Deep understanding of:

VM provisioning workflows

REST APIs and integrations

Infrastructure automation

Hands-on scripting (PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript in vRO).

Strong debugging capability across full stack.

Good to Have:

Experience in air-gapped / dark site environments.

Exposure to ITSM tools and automation integrations.

VMware certifications (VCP / VCAP).
