Job Description
Role: VMWARE Admin
Location: Chennai
Exp: 7-15 yrs
Mode of interview : Virtual
Must have:
- Strong experience (15+ years) with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing virtual networking (vSwitches, VLANs, distributed switches).
- Experience with storage technologies (SAN, NAS, vSAN) and their integration with VMware.
- Knowledge of VMware features like vMotion, HA, DRS, and FT.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in virtualized environments, including performance bottlenecks and hardware/software failures.
- Familiarity with automation tools like PowerCLI, PowerShell, or Ansible for managing VMware environments.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems in virtualized environments.
Good to have:
Minimum 2 mandate details are mandate with two or 3 liners
- 1. Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter Server.
- Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and capacity of the virtualized infrastructure.
- Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to VMware components.
- Create, configure, and manage virtual machines (VMs) to meet application and business requirements.
- Optimize resource allocation (CPU, memory, storage) for VMs to ensure efficient utilization.
- Configure and manage storage (SAN, NAS, vSAN) and networking (vSwitches, VLANs, distributed switches) for VMware environments
