Vice President

Hiring: Vice President - Project Management | Real Estate | Mumbai

Our client, a leading player in the real estate space, is looking for a Vice President - Project Management to be based in Mumbai.

Our client is an integrated real estate platform with capabilities across both Real Estate Services and Development. They began in 2010 with Facility Management and has since expanded into Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Solutions, Real Estate Advisory, and Development. They operate across 125+ cities, manage over 250 million sq. ft. of assets, and have a team of 30,000+ employees.

Role Objective:

• Lead the strategic planning, control, and execution of real estate development projects for high-rise projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, regulatory compliance, and high-quality standards
• Drive coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders including contractors, PMC, consultants, and government bodies

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Control

• Develop and monitor master project schedules, cash flows, and execution plans across the development portfolio
• Drive project budgeting, cost tracking, and resource allocation with rigorous governance
• Implement control mechanisms (dashboards, trackers, audit reviews) for progress, timelines, and cost adherence

2. Execution Oversight

• Ensure seamless execution from ground breaking to handover across residential, commercial, or industrial projects
• Supervise site teams, vendors, contractors, and PMCs for quality, safety, and compliance adherence
• Review DPRs, WPRs, and monthly progress reports, ensuring early warning systems are active and mitigations are initiated

3. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Collaborate with Design, Legal, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure alignment and timely decisions
• Onboard and manage contractors, consultants, and vendors; ensure performance SLAs and timely payments
• Handle liaison with statutory bodies for approvals, inspections, and clearances

4. Risk Management & Compliance

• Identify and mitigate project risks including technical delays, regulatory bottlenecks, or cost overruns
• Ensure adherence to all legal, RERA, environmental, and safety regulations

5. Leadership & Team Development

• Lead a high-performing team of engineers, project managers, and site execution leads
• Drive a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and accountability

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering; MBA/PG in Construction Management is preferred
• Minimum 20+ years of experience in project management and execution in real estate development (high rise residential & commercial)
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget
• Strong knowledge of contracts, project costing, risk management, and construction law
