Job Description

We are looking for a skilled UAV Engineer to support integration, testing, and development activities for fixed-wing and hybrid VTOL drone platforms. The candidate will work closely with senior engineers and test pilots on autopilot configuration, payload integration, flight testing, and UAV performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate and assemble fixed-wing and VTOL UAV systems and airframes.
• Configure, calibrate, and integrate Pixhawk-based flight controllers.
• Set up and fine-tune flight parameters and PID settings using Mission Planner and QGroundControl.
• Plan and execute manual and autonomous UAV flight missions.
• Develop, test, and troubleshoot autonomous flight missions and failsafe features.
• Conduct bench testing, ground validation, and field-testing activities.
• Perform soldering, wiring, harnessing, and electronic system integration.
• Analyze flight logs and evaluate UAV flight performance.
• Troubleshoot avionics, telemetry, communication, power system, and flight-related issues.
• Maintain and validate pre-flight, post-flight, and technical operation logs.
• Coordinate with Senior UAV Engineers and test pilots during integration and flight-testing activities.
• Support customer demonstrations and field deployment activities.
• Willingness to travel across India for demonstrations and field testing.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of fixed-wing UAV systems, VTOL concepts, and basic aerodynamics.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Pixhawk/Cube flight controllers
• Ardupilot / PX4
• Mission Planner
• QGroundControl
• Experience in manual and autonomous UAV flight operations.
• Knowledge of:
• Telemetry systems
• GPS systems
• ESCs and motors
• Batteries and power distribution systems
• Experience in UAV integration, soldering, wiring, and harnessing.
• Familiarity with payload integration and UAV troubleshooting.
• Ability to analyze flight logs and tune UAV systems.
• Basic understanding of RC systems and communication links.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, or related field
• 2+ years of hands-on UAV experience preferred
• DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate is an added advantage
