Your work profile The Aws Data engineer is responsible for managing client relationships and overseeing the successful delivery of programs or accounts. This role serves as the primary point of contact between the organization and its clients, ensuring alignment of goals, timelines, budgets, and expected outcomes while driving client satisfaction and business growth. Key Skills & Competencies 1012 years of experience in Data Engineering , with at least 34 years in a lead/managerial role Strong hands-on expertise in one programming language : Python or Java or Scala (mandatory depth) Extensive experience with AWS data ecosystem , including: S3, Glue , Athena, Redshift Kinesis, Kakfa EMR / Spark / Databricks on AWS Lambda, Step Functions Airflow Strong Spark and distributed data processing experience Strong hands-on knowledge of Spark-based processing Experience designing data lakes (raw, curated, consumption layers) Strong SQL skills and experience with large datasets DevOps & Engineering Practices CI/CD, Git-based workflows Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation / Terraform good to have) Monitoring, logging, and performance tuning Strong hands-on experience with Python ( must have ) Strong experience with dbt ( must have ) Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines Experience ingesting data from batch files and upstream source systems Strong experience with AWS data engineering services , such as: S3 Lambda Glue Step Functions Athena Redshift CloudWatch IAM Terraform Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and layered architecture (RAW to curated) Experience with incremental load design Experience in physical data modeling and ER modeling Exposure to warehouse platforms such as GCP and Teradata Experience with CI/CD tools like Codefresh or similar Hands-on experience with Git Understanding of data governance , metadata, reference data, and data dictionary practices Preferred Qualifications Education - B. tech or BE Success Metrics 712 years of experience in AWS Data Engineering , with at least 34 years in a lead/managerial role Strong hands-on expertise in one programming language : Python or Java or Scala Experience in physical data modeling and ER modeling Location and way of working: Base location: Bangalore This profile involves travelling to client locations.
