Role Description
Title: Transfer Pricing Apprentice
Team: MDM & Pricing Distribution
Location: Bangalore
Reporting to: Manager
Duration: 6 months
Qualification: MBA in Accounting, Finance
Primary Purpose of Role: You will play a key role in learning and understanding the foundational concepts of transfer pricing within the global tax scope. Your primary focus will be to gain hands-on experience in analyzing cross-border transactions, ensuring compliance with international tax regulations, and assisting with transfer pricing documentation under expert guidance.
This apprenticeship offers exposure to cutting-edge tools like Anaplan and Power BI, while allowing you to contribute to key transformation initiatives. You will develop essential stakeholder and project management skills while operating in a dynamic, culturally diverse environment.
By the end of the program, you will have built a strong foundation for a career as a tax professional, internalizing the 10 core principles of ABI.
Key tasks & Learning path
1. Understanding Basics of Transfer Pricing
- Learn the core concepts of Transfer Pricing, including OECD principles and benchmarking.
- Understand the calculation and impact of transfer pricing on global business operations.
2. Adopting Basic Technical Skills
- Build proficiency in the Microsoft Suite for daily financial tasks.
- Gain hands-on experience with advanced data tools like Anaplan and Power BI to support tax analytics.
3. Adopting Governance in Day-to-Day Activities
- Master governance routines to ensure timely delivery of tasks with high accuracy and completeness.
- Enhance your professional communication and reporting skills through improved tracking and monitoring.
4. Learning Collaborative Skills
- Develop foundational skills in Stakeholder Management by interacting with global teams.
- Learn the basics of Project Management to assist in ongoing tax transformation projects.
5. Leading & Taking Ownership
- Gain practical experience in Audit Defence and Compliance procedures.
- Support automation initiatives within the transfer pricing space to drive process efficiency.
6. Working in Teams
- Build mutual working relationships and learn from experienced team members to foster a collaborative environment.
