Technical Lead

In the role of Technical Lead/Sr. Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and delivering scalable enterprise solutions for global clients. This is a balanced, hands-on leadership role where you will work closely with data scientists, data engineers, frontend and backend developers, and cloud teams to build integrated analytics, GenAI-driven, and digital solutions in the Pharma & Life Sciences domain. Here is what you will do:

1. Technical Leadership

• Lead architecture design and key technical decisions across backend, data, and cloud layers
• Review and approve technical designs and code to ensure quality, performance, and security
• Define best practices for scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Act as the technical escalation point for cross-team and client discussions
• Drive structured logging, monitoring, and production readiness standards

1. Backend & Data Engineering

• Lead development using Python and SQL for backend services and data processing
• Design and build scalable APIs and microservices
• Optimize database performance and ensure secure data handling
• Oversee integration of structured and semi-structured data sources

1. Frontend Awareness

• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular
• Understanding of API-driven UI architectures

1. AI / ML & Advanced Analytics

• Guide integration of ML models or AI services into production systems
• Support model deployment, versioning, and lifecycle management
• Contribute to architecture involving analytics or LLM-based solutions (where applicable)

1. Cloud & DevOps

• Architect and manage cloud-native deployments (Azure preferred; AWS is a plus)
• Implement CI/CD best practices
• Ensure high availability, performance optimization, and cost efficiency

1. Team & Delivery

• Mentor engineers and conduct design/code reviews
• Support hiring and capability development
• Collaborate effectively with product, frontend, data, and DevOps teams
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders

Key Skills to Succeed in This Role:

• 10+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role
• Strong expertise in Python and SQL
• Experience building scalable APIs and backend systems
• Solid understanding of database design and performance tuning
• Experience with Azure cloud services (AWS familiarity preferred)
• Working knowledge of ML/AI integration in enterprise systems
• Experience in client-facing or consulting environments preferred
