Techical Project Manager - AI&CV

GalaxEye is an IIT Madras-incubated space tech startup and the first Indian headquartered startup to prepare a multi-sensor imaging satellite for orbit. Through its Drishti Mission, GalaxEye is developing the world's first satellite capable of capturing all-time, all-weather imagery, even during nighttime and under cloud cover. These satellites aim to empower governments, defense sectors, and industries with advanced geospatial analytical capabilities. We are looking for a highly driven and execution-focusedProject Manager AI & Computer Vision (AI&CV)to help drive the development and deployment of cutting-edge AI and Computer Vision solutions. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing cross-functional collaboration, enabling execution discipline, solving operational bottlenecks, and ensuring strategic alignment across AI, Data Engineering, and leadership teams. (max 1-3 yrs of experience in this domain)

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the implementation and execution of planned roadmaps across multiple AI & Computer Vision modules
• Coordinate closely with AI&CV and Data Engineering teams to effectively manage data pipelines and annotation requirements for AI model development
• Manage sprint planning, sprint tracking, and regular progress updates with strong execution discipline
• Identify technical and operational bottlenecks affecting AI&CV teams and proactively bring stakeholders together to solve problems efficiently
• Enable strong cross-functional collaboration between research, engineering, product, and deployment teams
• Support leadership in preparing strategic documents, technical proposals, presentations, and client-facing materials
• Scout, analyze, and share relevant research papers, industry developments, and emerging AI trends to keep teams aligned with the latest advancements
• Ensure stakeholders are consistently updated through structured, clear, and data-driven communication
• Track deliverables, dependencies, risks, and timelines across concurrent AI initiatives
• Facilitate effective prioritization and execution of high-impact tasks across teams
• Help define development processes, workflows, and operational best practices for scalable AI execution
• Coordinate model validation, testing, deployment readiness, and release tracking activities
• Work closely with leadership to align technical execution with business and strategic goals
• Drive accountability, ownership, and transparency across project teams
• Maintain project documentation, meeting notes, action trackers, and decision logs in a structured manner

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience managing AI/ML or Computer Vision projects in fast-paced environments
• Strong understanding of AI/ML development lifecycles, data annotation workflows, and model deployment pipelines
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools such as Jira, Notion, Linear, or similar platforms
• Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts effectively with both engineering and business stakeholders
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Self-driven mindset with strong problem-solving and execution capabilities

Good to have

• Exposure to satellite imaging, edge AI, robotics, autonomous systems, or deep learning-based vision applications
• Experience working with research-driven AI teams
• Familiarity with MLOps workflows and AI deployment pipelines
