About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Systems Engineer Web Performance & CDN with strong hands-on experience in CDN and WAF technologies (mandatory). You will be responsible for optimizing web performance, ensuring high availability, and implementing robust security across global web platforms.

Mandatory Skills (Must Have)

• Strong hands-on experience in CDN (Akamai preferred)
• Experience with WAF (Akamai WAF / Bot Manager or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of HTTP/S, DNS, caching mechanisms

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and manage Akamai CDN services (Property Manager, GTM, Ion, EdgeWorkers)
• Optimize caching strategies and edge configurations to improve performance
• Implement and manage WAF and bot protection policies
• Monitor key metrics like TTFB, cache hit ratio, and troubleshoot issues
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CDN into CI/CD pipelines
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates and edge hostname provisioning
• Work with cross-functional teams for architecture and capacity planning
• Maintain documentation and change management processes

Technical Skills

• Akamai tools: Property Manager, GTM, Ion, EdgeWorkers, WAF/Bot Manager
• Automation: Python / Terraform / Akamai APIs / CLI
• Web technologies: HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, SSL/TLS
• Performance optimization and observability tools

Good to Have

• Experience with AWS / Azure / Cloud platforms
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of security standards and compliance frameworks

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strong experience in CDN + WAF (both mandatory)
• Hands-on troubleshooting in high-traffic production environments
• Ability to optimize performance and secure web applications at scale
