About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Lead with strong expertise in AWS Big Data technologies. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable data solutions while managing cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

You will play a critical role in driving technical decisions, mentoring team members, and delivering high-performance, data-driven systems.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead end-to-end software development or specific lifecycle stages
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and architectures
• Oversee system performance, reliability, and optimization initiatives
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AWS Big Data solutions

Team Management & Collaboration

• Manage and guide development teams in execution and delivery
• Take ownership of key technical and architectural decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps, etc.)
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentor team members

Delivery & Execution

• Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
• Ensure alignment with business requirements and client expectations
• Identify risks and provide proactive solutions across teams

Continuous Improvement

• Drive process improvements and adoption of best practices
• Contribute to innovation in tools, frameworks, and methodologies

Required Skills & Expertise

Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience in AWS Big Data ecosystem
• Hands-on with:
• AWS EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation
• Experience with:
• Apache Hadoop / Apache Spark
• Knowledge of:
• Data storage solutions (Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift)
• Expertise in:
• Designing and implementing data pipelines
• Strong understanding of cloud computing principles

Leadership Skills

• Team management and mentoring capabilities
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders

Good to Have

• Experience in data architecture and distributed systems
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
