We are supporting a global enterprise technology program seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer to contribute to testing activities across complex trading platforms and enterprise applications.

This role focuses on validating business-critical systems, designing effective testing strategies, and ensuring high-quality delivery across applications, integrations, and infrastructure components.

The selected consultant will work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure robust testing coverage across large-scale enterprise systems.

Job Overview

The Senior Test Engineer will support testing activities across complex trading and enterprise technology environments.

The role involves designing test scenarios, executing manual and exploratory testing, validating integrations and data flows, and ensuring comprehensive coverage across business-critical systems.

The position requires strong analytical skills, independent problem solving, and the ability to contribute to continuous improvements in testing practices and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute test scenarios and test scripts for complex enterprise applications

Perform manual and exploratory testing for high-risk business processes

Support test planning, estimation, and execution activities across project teams

Validate functional and technical requirements across applications and integrations

Ensure comprehensive test coverage across applications, databases, and interfaces

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams to apply risk-based testing approaches

Analyse and troubleshoot functional and technical issues across systems

Communicate testing progress, risks, and outcomes to technical and business stakeholders

Contribute to improvements in testing frameworks, processes, and quality standards

Required Experience

812 years of experience in software testing within complex IT environments

Strong expertise in test design, execution, and defect management

Hands-on experience with manual and exploratory testing

Experience working independently with accountability for delivery outcomes

Understanding of enterprise applications, integrations, and infrastructure components

Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Experience

Experience testing ETRM or trading platforms

Exposure to commodities trading environments (Gas, Power, Oil, LNG, etc.)

Experience with test automation frameworks or scripting

Knowledge of databases and data validation

Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments

Exposure to large transformation or modernization programs
