Senior Simulation Engineer

Job Description:

Responsible for developing and deploying advanced thermal and Artificial Intelligence (AI) simulation methods across the Lighting Systems Product Group.

About the Role

Lead the development of new methods in thermal simulation, including Reduced Order Models (ROM) or 3D surrogate models, and AI algorithm prediction.

Responsibilities

• Develop New Methods: Lead the development of new methods in thermal simulation, including Reduced Order Models (ROM) or 3D surrogate models, and AI algorithm prediction.
• Define Roadmap: Develop and deploy the thermal simulation methods roadmap inside the Lighting Systems Product Group.
• Ensure Compliance: Develop accurate thermal methodologies in compliance with the 3D thermal simulation, surrogate model, and Artificial Intelligence Development Plan.
• Project Identification: Identify and propose new thermal projects or updates to existing methods based on new head lamp & rear lamp products, innovation, platforms, electronics, benchmarks, or supplier information.
• Expertise Development: Apply thermal simulation methods and continuously develop expertise.
• Team Improvement: Insure the application of thermal and mechanical methods and their improvement by the simulation engineers.
• Requirements Review: Review Internal Requirements, Customer Requirements, and Specifications.
• Solver Update: Update the solver simulation method or AI tools to maximize application.
• Design Reviews: Support design reviews and ensure the application of deliverables for thermal customer specification.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in CFD with thermal, electronic competence with PhD, Machine learning, Deep learning.
• 3-7 years of experience in CFD Thermal/ and Machine learning.
• Experimental validation of simulation.
• Mastery of simulation / calculation tools/ AI surrogate (FLUENT, FLOEFD, Neural Concept, Machine learning, Deep learning).
• Management of a dedicated Team for development of thermal and AI simulation methods.
• Develop new method in thermal and ROM or surrogate in thermal.
• Develop Roadmap & Deploy thermal simulation methods inside the Lighting Systems Product Group.
• Working in Neural Concept project is an added advantage.
