Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior PCB Design Engineer with strong expertise in high-speed, mixed-signal, and power electronics PCB design for space-grade systems.

You will lead the complete PCB lifecycle (schematic layout manufacturing validation) for mission-critical satellite subsystems, ensuring high reliability under extreme environments.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Lead end-to-end PCB design for satellite electronics (schematic, layout, manufacturing, and validation)
• Design high-density multi-layer PCBs (820+ layers) for power electronics including DC-DC converters, power conditioning, and motor drive systems
• Design advanced digital PCBs for FPGA, SoC, and high-speed interfaces such as DDR, SERDES, and LVDS
• Design RF and mixed-signal PCB circuits with controlled impedance and signal isolation
• Perform Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis for high-speed and power-critical designs
• Implement EMI/EMC mitigation techniques along with robust thermal and power distribution strategies
• Define PCB stack-ups, impedance control requirements, and layout design rules for high-reliability systems
• Ensure compliance with space-grade standards including ISRO, ECSS, and NASA guidelines
• Collaborate closely with hardware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams for system-level integration
• Drive DFM, DFA, and DFT optimization in coordination with PCB fabrication and assembly partners
• Mentor junior engineers and establish best-in-class PCB design methodologies and processes

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in PCB schematic and layout design for high-reliability systems
• Hands-on expertise with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, Mentor Graphics, or KiCad
• Strong experience in high-speed digital design including DDR, SERDES, PCIe, LVDS, and other high-speed interfaces
• Strong experience in power electronics PCB layout including DC-DC converters and power distribution systems
• Experience in mixed-signal PCB design
• Deep understanding of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI)
• Strong knowledge of controlled impedance routing and PCB stack-up design
• Expertise in EMI/EMC design and mitigation techniques
• Solid knowledge of PCB design standards including IPC-2221, IPC-2152, IPC-7351, ECSS-Q-ST-70-12C, and ISRO-PAX standards
• Experience with multi-layer PCB fabrication and assembly processes
• Experience in aerospace, space, or defense electronics systems
• Familiarity with ISRO, ECSS, and NASA PCB design standards
• Experience designing for extreme environments including thermal cycling, vacuum conditions, and high vibration/shock
• Knowledge of RF PCB design and high-frequency routing techniques
• Exposure to hardware validation and qualification testing processes
• Experience with environmental testing such as TVAC, vibration, and EMI/EMC compliance
• Experience working with space-grade and high-reliability components
