QPiAI Quantum hardware team is responsible for designing and characterization of Quantum Processor, Cryogenic Quantum Control Circuits, RF Control Hardware, and QPiAI ASGP.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly driven Senior Infrastructure Engineer to build and scale our core infrastructure in a fast-growing startup. This role combines Linux administration, networking, and DevOps, with full ownership of reliability, security, and performance. You will design systems from scratch, automate everything possible, and ensure our platform is robust and scalable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage Linux-based infrastructure
• Build and maintain scalable network architecture (LAN/WAN/VPN, cloud networking)
• Automate infrastructure using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible)
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Ensure system and network security, patching, and compliance
• Troubleshoot complex system, network, and production issues
• Architectural Evolution: Lead the transition from traditional hardware-centric networking to Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and SD-WAN architectures.
• Hybrid Cloud Connectivity: Design and manage high-availability links between on-premises data centers and cloud providers (e.g., AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute).
• Advanced Troubleshooting: Act as the Tier 3 escalation point, utilizing packet captures (Wireshark) and flow data to resolve intermittent, high-impact performance issues.
• Lifecycle Management: Own the roadmap for hardware refreshes, budgeting for equipment EOL (End of Life), and performing large-scale firmware audits.

Technical Expertise

1. Core Networking & Routing

• Advanced Protocols: Expert-level configuration of BGP (path selection, community strings) and OSPF (multi-area optimization).
• Data Center Fabric: Experience with VXLAN, EVPN, and Cisco ACI or Arista EOS.
• High Availability: Implementation of LACP, VPC, and redundant gateway protocols (HSRP/VRRP).
• Firewall and Switch VLAN Setup.

2. Network Security & Edge

• Next-Gen Firewalls: Deep administration of Palo Alto (Panorama), Sophos or Fortinet, including SSL decryption and App-ID policies.
• Identity Management: Managing Cisco ISE or Aruba ClearPass for wired/wireless 802.1X authentication.
• Load Balancing: Architecting traffic flow via F5 BIG-IP (LTM/GTM) or Citrix ADC.

3. Automation & Observability

• Tooling: Professional experience with NetBox (IPAM/Source of Truth) and Git for version-controlling network configs.
• Monitoring: Building custom dashboards in Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk to visualize network health.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 710+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or system engineering
• Strong expertise in Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS)
• Deep understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, routing protocols)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python)
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform preferred)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and system design skills
