Senior Manager - IT

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and/or SOAP APIs to support POD application requirements.
• Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and development teams within API Integration – POD 1 to understand integration needs.
• Deliver end-to-end API solutions including API definition, implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
• Leverage API Factory standards and best practices to ensure consistency, reusability, and governance across APIs.
• Integrate APIs with internal systems, third-party platforms, and cloud-based services.
• Ensure APIs meet security, performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
• Create and maintain API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI specifications).
• Support API lifecycle management including versioning, monitoring, and decommissioning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration and API-related issues in lower and production environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Adhere to organizational compliance, security policies, and coding standards.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in API design and development (REST/SOAP).
• Hands-on knowledge of API Management platforms (e.g., Apigee, Mulesoft, Kong, Azure API Management, etc.).
• Proficiency in integration patterns, message transformation, and data mapping.
• Experience with JSON, XML, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API security concepts.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Git version control, and deployment pipelines.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in API development and system integrations (can be adjusted based on seniority).
• Prior experience working within an API Factory or Integration COE is highly preferred.
