About the Role

We are looking for an experienced AWS Architect to lead the design and implementation of cloudnative data and streaming architectures on AWS. The role requires strong expertise in AWS services, realtime streaming platforms, Kafkabased architectures, and IoT data processing, along with the ability to guide teams and influence architectural decisions across large programs.

Responsibilities

• Design and own endtoend AWS architecture for data, streaming, and IoT platforms
• Architect scalable data lakes and analytics solutions using S3, Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift, DynamoDB
• Design realtime and eventdriven architectures using Kafka / MSK / Kinesis
• Define reference architectures and best practices for batch and streaming data pipelines
• Provide architectural guidance for PySparkbased data processing frameworks
• Design and govern IoT data ingestion pipelines for telemetry, sensor, and timeseries data
• Ensure architectural standards for security, data governance, compliance, and cost optimization using IAM, KMS, Lake Formation, CloudTrail, and monitoring frameworks
• Review designs, conduct architecture assessments, and guide implementation teams
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Mentor senior engineers and contribute to solutioning, RFPs, and presales discussions as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 815 years of experience in cloud, data engineering, or architecture roles
• Proven experience architecting enterprisescale AWS solutions
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in AWS Cloud Architecture
• Handson knowledge of AWS services including S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EMR, Athena, Redshift
• Deep experience with Kafka and streaming architectures (MSK, Kinesis, eventdriven systems)
• Strong understanding of PySpark and distributed data processing
• Advanced SQL and data warehousing concepts
• Experience designing IoT data platforms (device/sensor data, telemetry, timeseries)
• Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and governance best practices

Preferred Skills

• Databricks on AWS
• Workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Step Functions)
• InfrastructureasCode (Terraform / CloudFormation / CDK)
• Data quality and monitoring frameworks
• Exposure to BI, ML, and advanced analytics platforms
