Search Engineer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Elasticsearch Engineer with 13 years of handson experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about search technologies and eager to work in a fastpaced environment, contributing to the management, optimization, and scaling of Elasticsearch infrastructure.

This role provides strong exposure to Elasticsearch 8.x, search performance optimization, data ingestion, and Kibana visualizations, while working closely with crossfunctional development teams.

Key Responsibilities

Elasticsearch Setup and Management

• Install, configure, and manage Elasticsearch clusters (version 8.x)
• Ensure high availability, stability, and optimal performance of clusters

Data Ingestion and Indexing

• Assist in configuring and optimizing data ingest pipelines
• Define index mappings and manage document indexing from multiple data sources

Search and Query Optimization

• Design and optimize queries, aggregations, and filters for efficient search performance

Kibana Dashboards and Reporting

• Design, build, and maintain Kibana dashboards, visualizations, and reports for various use cases

Data Management and Monitoring

• Monitor data ingestion, cluster health, and system metrics
• Analyze and troubleshoot data or performance issues

Collaboration

• Work closely with application and development teams to support Elasticsearch integrations

Cluster Monitoring and Performance Tuning

• Monitor Elasticsearch cluster health and tune configurations and queries
• Provide insights to improve stability and performance

Documentation

• Create and maintain technical documentation for configurations, setups, and operational processes

Version Upgrades

• Assist in upgrading Elasticsearch clusters and related tools to the latest 8.x versions

Troubleshooting

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, errors, and data inconsistencies in Elasticsearch environments

Required Skills and Experience

• 13 years of handson experience working with Elasticsearch (preferably version 8.x)
• Strong understanding of Elasticsearch core concepts such as nodes, clusters, indices, shards, and replicas
• Experience with index mappings, custom analyzers, and basic data modeling
• Handson experience with Kibana dashboards and visualizations
• Basic knowledge of monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Good to Have

• Exposure to Logstash, Beats, or other Elastic ingestion tools
• Basic scripting knowledge (Shell or Python)
• Experience supporting production environments
• Familiarity with Linux or cloud-based environments
