THE ROLE We're looking for a junior backend engineer who wants to learn Go and build production systems. You don't need to be a Go expert solid programming fundamentals and genuine curiosity about how backend systems work is what matters. You'll work alongside our backend tech lead, gradually owning entire services. We'll teach you the stack; you bring the drive.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Write backend services in Go API endpoints, business logic, database interactions, and background jobs Work with PostgreSQL daily queries, schema design, indexes, and migrations Build and consume REST APIs following established patterns Write unit and integration tests tests are not optional here Learn and implement Redis caching patterns for high-read flows Help integrate third-party services: payments, notifications, search Participate in code reviews and debug production issues using logs, traces, and metrics Pick up infrastructure basics on the job: Docker, CI/CD, Cloud Run, structured logging

YOU SHOULD HAVE

Solid programming fundamentals in any language Go, Python, Java, C++, or Rust Basic understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, request/response lifecycle, JSON Some SQL exposure queries, table design, joins Familiarity with Git branching, PRs, merge conflicts A debugging mindset you read errors carefully, form hypotheses, and test them Intellectual curiosity you read docs, explore how things work, and ask good questions

BONUS POINTS Written Go before (even a side project counts) Built and deployed a REST API anywhere Comfortable with Docker Active GitHub profile Linux/macOS terminal fluency
