Silohe is a premium, handcrafted chocolate brand based in Bangalore, India. We specialize in luxury chocolate gifting for weddings, corporate events, festivals, and personal celebrations. Every box we create is a statement of elegance, quality, and craftsmanship. As we scale our brand presence, we are building our first dedicated sales team and are looking for a driven, relationship-oriented Sales Executive to lead our outbound efforts.
The Role
You will be our first sales hirethe person who builds the playbook from the ground up. Your primary mission is to generate new leads, nurture relationships, and close deals across our B2B (corporate gifting, event planners, hotels, retail partnerships) and B2C (wedding & celebration gifting) channels. You will report directly to the founder and work closely with the production and branding teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, identify, and qualify new leads through cold outreach, networking events, referrals, social media, and industry partnerships.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipelinefrom first touch through proposal, negotiation, and closed deal.
- Achieve a minimum number of qualified lead contacts every month (target to be agreed upon with management).
- Close deals across B2B channels (corporate gifting, wedding planners, hotels, event companies, retail stores) and direct-to-consumer wedding/celebration orders.
- Develop tailored proposals and presentations for prospective clients, showcasing Silohes product range, customization options, and brand story.
- Create and share weekly sales reports covering pipeline status, conversion metrics, outreach activity, and revenue forecasts.
- Maintain accurate records of all leads, client interactions, and deal stages in the CRM or tracking tool.
- Represent Silohe at trade shows, wedding expos, corporate networking events, and tasting sessions.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align outbound efforts with campaigns, seasonal launches, and brand activations.
- Commute to client locations across Bangalore (and nearby cities when required) for in-person meetings, product presentations, and relationship building.
- Carry and present Silohe sample boxes during client visitsgive prospects a first-hand taste of our craftsmanship to drive conversions.
- Gather and relay market feedbackcompetitor activity, pricing insights, customer preferencesto inform product and strategy decisions.
What we're looking for
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent Communication Skills confident, persuasive, and articulate in both English and Kannada (Hindi is a plus).
- Emotional Intelligence ability to read client needs, build rapport, and navigate sensitive conversations with tact.
- Objection Handling skilled at reframing concerns and turning hesitations into closed deals.
- Resilience & Persistence comfortable with rejection and driven to keep the pipeline moving.
- Curiosity genuinely interested in understanding each clients event, brand, or celebration to offer the right solution.
- Time Management & Organization able to juggle multiple prospects, follow-ups, and deadlines without dropping the ball.
- Negotiation & Closing confident in discussing pricing, bulk deals, and custom orders while protecting margins.
- Relationship Building a natural networker who maintains long-term client relationships that drive repeat business and referrals.
Knowledge & Experience
- Solid understanding of B2B sales cycles, including multi-stakeholder decision-making and longer lead times.
- Familiarity with the wedding and events industry (planners, decorators, venues) is strongly preferred.
- Understanding of sales funnelsfrom awareness and lead generation through nurturing to conversion and retention.
- Working knowledge of CRM tools (e.g., Attio, Zoho, or similar) for pipeline management.
- Comfort with luxury or premium products; appreciation for brand positioning, storytelling, and the value of presentation.
- 13 years of experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles (FMCG, hospitality, gifting, or luxury sectors preferred).
- Willingness and ability to commute to client locations across Bangalore on a daily basis; access to own two-wheeler or vehicle is a strong plus.
Compensation
Base Salary
6,000 / month
Commission
30 per box sold
Structure
Performance-based; uncapped earning potential
Payout
Monthly (base + commission)
This is a commission-heavy role by design. Top performers with strong pipelines will earn multiples of the base salary. We reward hustle and results.
What success looks like
- Month 12: Build a qualified prospect list of 100+ leads across target segments. Learn the product range inside out. Shadow the founder on client meetings.
- Month 34: Consistently meet monthly lead-contact targets. Close your first set of B2B accounts and wedding orders. Submit weekly reports independently.
- Month 6+: Own a self-sustaining pipeline generating consistent monthly revenue. Become the go-to person for client relationships. Help shape the sales strategy as the team grows.
