RFIC Staff Engineer

Job Description:

• The candidate will design, supervise layout, help characterize analog and RFIC circuits for Mediateks Connectivity products
• This is an exciting opportunity to grow with a new team and work on cutting edge circuit designs. You will be collaborating with Singapore and Taiwan teams to develop innovative circuit and system solutions for challenging problems

Responsibilities:

• Work on specification definition, architecture feasibility evaluation, circuit design, layout, post-silicon evaluation
• Ensure Circuit design quality and efficient trouble shooting
• Communicate with worldwide Mediatek teams for good collaborative efficiency

Requirements:

• (M.Tech/MS/PhD) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 7+ years experience, multiple Tape Outs and strong educational background in Analog and RFIC circuit design
• Solid understanding of highly scaled CMOS process and device characteristics, and scaling-related impact to circuit design
• Experience in designing any of the following circuits
• LNA, Mixer, PA, VCO, PLL, Analog Baseband Filter, TIA
• Experience with Cadence IC design tools (SpectreRF, virtuoso schematic capture, layout, layout verification and parasitic extraction), EM Simulators (EMX, HFSS), MATLAB and Scripting (Shell, Python)
• Experience using lab equipment such as Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Multi-Meters (DMMs), etc.,
• Strong analytical and debugging skills
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills
