Job Description

Dhosti Global Workforce is seeking to hire QUALITY MANAGERS in sourcing, quality control/assurance, and supply chain management for international brands and companies.We act as the trusted on-ground partner for our foreign clients managing supplier relationships, conducting factory audits, overseeing production quality, and ensuring compliance with global standards. Our clients span industries including apparel, consumer goods, electronics, and industrial manufacturing. We are also building a proprietary quality management platform to further scale our operations and streamline how brands schedule quality inspections and audits across global manufacturing locations.


Position Summary

The Quality Manager is a pivotal leadership role that bridges our international clients expectations with on-ground supplier performance in India. You will own the end-to-end quality function from pre-production approvals through final QC inspections and serve as the primary point of accountability for quality outcomes delivered to clients. This position combines hands-on quality operations management with strategic input into our platform development, ensuring that our consulting services and technology are grounded in real-world quality management needs. You will build and lead our quality inspection team, establish operational standards and processes, support critical client projects from conception to production, and work closely with our development team to shape a platform that truly serves quality professionals.


Key Responsibilities

Inspector Team Development & Management

Build, hire, and onboard quality inspectors for deployment to contract manufacturer sites serving our client portfolio

Develop and implement comprehensive training programs covering quality standards, inspection procedures, manufacturing processes, and client-specific requirements

Manage inspector scheduling, assignment, performance evaluation, and ongoing professional development

Create and maintain contractor onboarding workflows and qualification requirements aligned with client expectations

Establish HR and workforce management processes in coordination with leadership

Foster a culture of integrity and continuous improvement within the inspection team


Quality Standards & Control Documentation

Develop comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all inspection and quality management processes

Create detailed, product-specific inspection checklists tailored to client requirements and manufacturing categories

Establish management and control procedures for inspector operations, communication, and escalation protocols

Prepare and manage technical drawings, product specifications, and acceptance criteria documentation

Develop defect classification standards (Critical, Major, Minor) with clear definitions and examples

Ensure all quality documentation meets client compliance requirements and applicable industry standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.)

Maintain updated quality documentation libraries and ensure accessibility across teams


Platform Development Support & E2E Testing

Provide quality domain expertise to inform platform design, workflows, and feature requirements based on real consulting operations

Conduct end-to-end testing of platform features as they are developed, validating functionality from brand, manufacturer, and inspector perspectives

Collaborate with the development team to prioritise enhancements and resolve issues, ensuring platform workflows align with real-world quality operations requirements

Serve as the voice of the quality professional in platform development, ensuring the tool meets practitioner needs


First Article Inspection & Production Support

Develop and execute First Article Inspection (FAI) procedures and documentation for new client projects

Lead or oversee FAI activities at contract manufacturer facilities, including dimensional verification

Manage sample evaluation, approval workflows, and comprehensive FAI documentation

Coordinate pre-production audits and production line readiness assessments before mass production launch

Support the critical transition from sample production to mass production with appropriate quality controls and checkpoints

Establish ongoing inspection schedules, quality monitoring touchpoints, and continuous improvement plans for the production phase


Manufacturer Coordination & Communication

Communicate inspection findings, non-conformances, and required corrective actions in a professional and solution-oriented manner

Manage communication protocols and escalation pathways between international brands, manufacturers, and our inspection team

Conduct regular manufacturer quality meetings and reviews to facilitate continuous improvement and smooth operations


Pre-Shipment QC & Lot Management

Oversee and be accountable for pre-shipment QC inspections on every production lot before shipment to the end client

Direct and supervise the inspector team in executing comprehensive QC checks against approved specifications and quality standards

Establish QC sampling plans and acceptance criteria for lot-based inspections aligned with client requirements

Approve or reject shipments based on QC inspection results and maintain final authority on lot release decisions

Maintain detailed pre-shipment inspection records (through procureops.io platform) and reports for each lot, ensuring traceability and compliance documentation


Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA) Management

Lead the CAPA process for critical and major non-conformances identified during inspections, ensuring timely resolution

Track and verify implementation of corrective actions with manufacturers, documenting effectiveness and closure

Analyse quality data and inspection trends to identify systemic issues and recommend preventive measures

Maintain comprehensive CAPA documentation and ensure timely closure of all action items with supporting evidence

Report on CAPA metrics, quality improvement initiatives, and trending data to leadership and clients


Supplier & Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with supplier quality teams and international customers
  • Facilitate clear communication between customers, suppliers, and the inspection team
  • Address quality issues and customer concerns with professionalism and



Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field

8+ years of experience in quality management, preferably in manufacturing or supply chain environments

Proven experience building and managing quality inspection teams or contractor workforces

Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent)

Hands-on experience with First Article Inspection processes and production quality control

Demonstrated familiarity with supplier quality management and contract manufacturing environments

Excellent organisational and project management skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to develop SOPs, inspection checklists, and quality documentation from scratch


Preferred Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • Experience communicating directly with international customers and managing customer quality requirements
  • Experience with CAPA and root cause analysis methodologies (5-Why, Fishbone, etc.)
  • Experience with customer complaint handling and quality escalations
  • Experience with Production Part Approval (PPAP) documentation
  • Experience in consumer goods, electronics, appliances, aerospace or automotive manufacturing
  • Experience with quality management systems software or platforms


Work Environment

  • Based at the manufacturing facility in Kallahalli Industrial Area (outside Mysore), travel as needed basis (minimal)
