Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Quality Engineer, based in Bengaluru.

The Quality Engineer will oversee product quality by implementing quality control measures, analyzing quality metrics, and addressing non-conformities.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining quality assurance programs, supporting quality management processes, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

The engineer will also work to promote continuous improvement and maintain product standards within the organization.


Key responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for customers and suppliers on quality-related matters.
  • Manage customer quality issues and ensuring effective resolution
  • Support technical analysis and provide corrective action implementation.
  • Qualify and develop new suppliers through audits and assessments in line with company quality standards.
  • Conduct supplier audits and drive continuous quality improvement.
  • Coordinate and resolve complex supplier quality issues.


Qualifications

  • Full time bachelors degree in mechanical, Industrial or Automotive Engineering only
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in quality / supplier quality in the automotive industry only
  • Friendly, communicative and customer-focused
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problemsolving skills
  • Team Player
  • Good organizational skills
  • Stress-resistant and flexible mindset (flexible to travel regularly national and international)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of SAP or any other ERP system is a plus


Technical Skills

  • Expertise in Quality Engineering and Quality Control methods to identify and address defects or deficiencies.
  • Proficiency in Quality Assurance and Product Quality processes to maintain compliance and enhance reliability.
  • Solid understanding of Quality Management systems and standards for process optimization and overall product excellence.
  • Experience in internal and external audits (IATF 16949 / ISO etc. ) & supplier qualification.
  • Strong analytical skills for identifying quality improvement opportunities and determining solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in manufacturing or automotive industries.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean is a plus.
