Job Title: Project Manager & Business Analyst (Hybrid)


Location: Pune

Experience: 6 - 10 Years

Domain Focus: Software Services (BFSI / FinTech / Finance)


Role Summary

We are seeking a high-impact, BA/PM Hybrid with 6-10 years of progressive experience to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex software projects. You will be the primary bridge between our clients business objectives and our engineering teams execution. This role requires a unique blend of strategic business analysis, rigorous project governance, and the ability to navigate high-stakes compliance environments (BFSI / FinTech / Finance).


Key Responsibilities


Business Analysis & Product Strategy


  • Discovery & Elicitation: Lead discovery workshops with stakeholders to transform vague business problems into structured, technical requirements.
  • Requirement Engineering: Author high-quality User Stories, Acceptance Criteria (Gherkin style), and Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs).
  • Gap Analysis: Identify "missing" requirements, particularly in complex domains like payment flows (BFS or FinTech or Finance).
  • Backlog Management: Act as the "Proxy Product Owner," ensuring the backlog is prioritized and ensuring tasks are "Ready for Dev."
  • UAT (User Acceptance Testing): Validate that the developed features meet the business requirements before final release.


Project Management & Governance


  • Project Lifecycle Oversight: Manage the full SDLC from initiation to closing, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and at the target margin.
  • Resource & Capacity Planning: Manage team velocity and workload, ensuring technical dependencies are identified and resolved before they become blockers.
  • Risk Management: Maintain a proactive Risk Register. Escalate blockers (internal or client-side) early and decisively.
  • Financial Tracking: Monitor "Budget vs. Actuals" for both Fixed-Price and T&M engagements to protect project profitability.
  • Change Control: Manage the Change Request (CR) process, ensuring scope creep is documented, approved, and billed.


Technical & Tooling Requirements


Methodologies

  • Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall (Hybrid)

Tools

  • JIRA, Confluence, Figma (for reviewing UX), Postman (for API analysis)

Documentation

  • SQL basics, BPMN 2.0 Flowcharts, UML Diagrams

Soft Skills

  • Negotiation, Conflict Resolution, Technical Storytelling

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 -10 years of experience in a software services/consultancy environment.
  • Proven experience handling "difficult" stakeholder approvals and technical blockers.
  • PMP certification is desirable but not mandatory.
  • The "Hybrid" Mindset: A track record of making data-driven trade-offs between "the perfect requirement" and "the project deadline."
