Job Description
About Turing:
Based in San Francisco, California, Turing is the worlds leading research accelerator for frontier AI labs and a trusted partner for global enterprises deploying advanced AI systems. Turing supports customers in two ways: first, by accelerating frontier research with high-quality data, advanced training pipelines, plus top AI researchers who specialize in coding, reasoning, STEM, multilinguality, multimodality, and agents; and second, by applying that expertise to help enterprises transform AI from proof of concept into proprietary intelligence with systems that perform reliably, deliver measurable impact, and drive lasting results on the P&L.
Role Overview:
Were looking for a Power Electronics Domain Expert to design and evaluate advanced PCB systems across diverse power circuit applications.
This role blends hands-on PCB design expertise with the opportunity to shape evaluation frameworks for intelligent design systems, making a direct impact at the intersection of hardware and AI.
What You'll Do Day-to-Day:
- Design power electronic circuits (DC-DC converters, LDOs, AC-DC supplies, automotive systems)
- Create schematics and PCB layouts using tools like KiCad, Altium, or similar
- Select components based on datasheets and design requirements
- Analyze performance: efficiency, ripple, thermal behavior, and reliability
- Apply PCB best practices (grounding, routing, EMI, DFM)
- Generate manufacturing outputs (BOM, Gerber files, pick-and-place data)
- Validate designs through simulations, calculations, and DRC checks
- Build structured evaluation frameworks covering:
- Specification validation and Component compliance
- Establish PCB evaluation standards (DFM, thermal, power integrity)
- Collaborate cross-functionally to refine design processes
