Job Description
Role Summary (Execution & Delivery Driven)
We are looking for a high-impact Project Leader who can drive end-to-end execution of new programs from RFQ handover to SOP (Start of Production) with zero slippage mindset.
This role demands a delivery-focused leader who thrives under pressure, ensures on-time launches, and drives cross-functional alignment to meet aggressive timelines, cost, and quality targets.
Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)
- On-Time SOP Delivery: 100% adherence to committed timelines
- Project Milestone Adherence: >95% on-time completion (APQP gates)
- Program Cost Control: Within approved budget (23%)
- Zero Escalation Launches: No customer escalations at SOP
- PPAP Approval: First-time-right submission success rate
- Development Lead Time Reduction: Continuous improvement YoY
Core Responsibilities
- Own and drive end-to-end program management from business award development SOP ramp-up
- Lead cross-functional teams (Design, Manufacturing, Quality, SCM, Tooling) to ensure seamless execution
- Ensure strict adherence to APQP, PPAP, and customer-specific requirements
- Drive program timelines, track milestones, and eliminate bottlenecks proactively
- Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for customers for all program-related activities
- Lead technical reviews, risk assessments (FMEA), and feasibility studies
- Ensure tooling development, validation, and readiness as per project timelines
- Drive cost optimization without compromising quality or delivery
- Conduct regular program reviews with leadership and customers
- Ensure smooth transition from development to mass production
Ideal Candidate Profile (Execution Leader DNA)
- Proven experience in leading multiple successful program launches in auto/engine components (Tier-1 environment)
- Strong expertise in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, and automotive quality systems
- Hands-on experience in handling OEM customers and global program requirements
- Ability to manage complexity, resolve conflicts, and deliver under pressure
- Strong leadership with ownership mindset and accountability for results
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capability
Must-Have Skills
- Strong project management & execution discipline
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, casting, forging, etc.)
- Expertise in risk management and mitigation planning
- Excellent stakeholder management (internal & customer-facing)
- Data-driven approach with focus on timelines, cost & quality
