Job Description

Role Summary (Execution & Delivery Driven)

We are looking for a high-impact Project Leader who can drive end-to-end execution of new programs from RFQ handover to SOP (Start of Production) with zero slippage mindset.

This role demands a delivery-focused leader who thrives under pressure, ensures on-time launches, and drives cross-functional alignment to meet aggressive timelines, cost, and quality targets.


Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • On-Time SOP Delivery: 100% adherence to committed timelines
  • Project Milestone Adherence: >95% on-time completion (APQP gates)
  • Program Cost Control: Within approved budget (23%)
  • Zero Escalation Launches: No customer escalations at SOP
  • PPAP Approval: First-time-right submission success rate
  • Development Lead Time Reduction: Continuous improvement YoY


Core Responsibilities

  • Own and drive end-to-end program management from business award development SOP ramp-up
  • Lead cross-functional teams (Design, Manufacturing, Quality, SCM, Tooling) to ensure seamless execution
  • Ensure strict adherence to APQP, PPAP, and customer-specific requirements
  • Drive program timelines, track milestones, and eliminate bottlenecks proactively
  • Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for customers for all program-related activities
  • Lead technical reviews, risk assessments (FMEA), and feasibility studies
  • Ensure tooling development, validation, and readiness as per project timelines
  • Drive cost optimization without compromising quality or delivery
  • Conduct regular program reviews with leadership and customers
  • Ensure smooth transition from development to mass production


Ideal Candidate Profile (Execution Leader DNA)

  • Proven experience in leading multiple successful program launches in auto/engine components (Tier-1 environment)
  • Strong expertise in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, and automotive quality systems
  • Hands-on experience in handling OEM customers and global program requirements
  • Ability to manage complexity, resolve conflicts, and deliver under pressure
  • Strong leadership with ownership mindset and accountability for results
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capability



Must-Have Skills

  • Strong project management & execution discipline
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, casting, forging, etc.)
  • Expertise in risk management and mitigation planning
  • Excellent stakeholder management (internal & customer-facing)
  • Data-driven approach with focus on timelines, cost & quality
