Job Summary:

We are seeking a Business Systems Engineer with deep experience in enterprise business applications and ERP workflows. This role focuses on designing, building, and supporting ERP customizations to enable core business operations across finance, procurement, order management, and business process automation.

You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable NetSuite (or Tier 1 ERP) solutions. The role also includes supporting integrations, system enhancements, controls compliance, and ongoing optimization of enterprise systems in a high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Business teams to gather and analyze requirements.
• Translate business requirements into scalable ERP solutions and system enhancements.
• Configure and optimize workflows across procurement, order management, finance, and internal operations.
• Support end-to-end business process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Prepare functional specifications, process flows, test scenarios, and user documentation.
• Support UAT, user training, and post-go-live activities.

Technical Responsibilities

• Build and support NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript (1.0 / 2.x) and SuiteFlow.
• Develop custom records, workflows, saved searches, reports, dashboards, and automations.
• Support ERP integrations with external platforms using REST, SOAP, EDI, or middleware tools.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver timely resolutions.
• Support system upgrades, regression testing, release cycles, and change management.
• Maintain security roles, controls, and system governance standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a technical role supporting ERP or enterprise systems.
• Hands-on experience building and supporting NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript and SuiteFlow.
• Experience developing custom records, workflows, saved searches, and business automations.
• Experience with NetSuite modules such as Financials, Procurement, Order Management, CRM, or Inventory.
• Experience integrating ERP systems with external platforms and third-party applications.
• Strong knowledge of business process mapping, testing cycles, and issue resolution.
• Experience implementing and maintaining IT controls in compliance with SOX or equivalent standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in manufacturing, SaaS, data center, retail, or other fast-paced environments.
• Experience with Tier 1 ERPs such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics.
• Experience with middleware platforms such as Workato, Celigo, Boomi, MuleSoft.
• Experience with procurement automation or financial workflow tools.
• Experience applying AI solutions to business operations or enterprise systems.
• NetSuite certifications such as SuiteFoundation / ERP Consultant / SuiteCloud Developer preferred.
