Job Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in MS SQL Server Database Administration (DBA)
- Strong expertise in:
- SQL Server (2016 / 2019 / 2022 versions)
- Installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades
- Hands-on experience in:
- Performance tuning (execution plans, indexing, query optimization)
- Backup & recovery strategies (full, differential, log backups)
- Strong knowledge of:
- High Availability & Disaster Recovery (Always On, Log Shipping, Replication, Clustering)
- Experience in:
- SQL migrations and upgrade activities
- Production support environments (24x7 support models)
- Exposure to:
- Azure SQL / Managed Instance / Cloud-based deployments
- Good understanding of:
- Windows Server environments
- Database security (TDE, encryption, access controls)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities*
- Install, configure, and manage SQL Server databases across environments
- Monitor and optimize database performance and query execution
- Design and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Configure and maintain HA/DR solutions (Always On, Clustering, Replication)
- Perform:
- Database upgrades, migrations, and patching activities
- Troubleshoot:
- Performance issues, blocking, deadlocks, and failures
- Ensure:
- Database security, access management, and compliance
- Provide L3/L4 support and handle critical incidents
- Collaborate with:
- Application, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams
- Prepare and maintain:
- Documentation, SOPs, and KT materials
