Job Summary:
Responsible for selection, design, and validation of mechanical components for data centers. Requires strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, material science, manufacturing processes, and industry standards. Proactive problem solver focused on creating robust and reliable products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and evaluate mechanical components including interconnects, fasteners, cables, and sheet metal.
- Review detailed specifications, 3D/2D drawings, and assist in part number creation.
- Work with vendors to ensure components meet specified quality standards.
- Provide technical expertise on mechanical hardware like connectors and cables.
- Assist in selection and qualification of alternative components.
- Strong experience in mechanical components and interconnects.
- Hands-on proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Proactive problem solver with passion for robust products.
5+ years of experience in Mechanical component engineering.
