As we continue to grow our portfolio of brands and licenses, we are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Logistics Analyst to help drive execution excellence across our global production platform, with a particular focus on coordination with our NY, Mexico and China based teams.


Role Summary

As a Logistics Analyst at Maxima Apparel, you will be the data, finance, and trade-compliance partner of our global logistics function. You will turn shipment data into vendor decisions, KPI dashboards, and reconciled payments, while surfacing customs, duty, and cost patterns that drive smarter carrier awards and tighter cost control across our supply chain. You will report directly to the Director of Global Logistics.


Quote Analysis & Carrier Recommendation

  • Confirm RFQ data accuracy with origin and destination coordinators before quotes are released to vendors.
  • Score incoming quotes against weighted criteria including all-in rate, transit time, reliability, and space confirmation.
  • Build carrier recommendation memos for the Director of Global Logistics, who retains carrier-award authority.


Invoice Reconciliation

  • Reconcile carrier and broker invoices against TMS quotes and booking confirmations in partnership with Finance.
  • Validate weights, dimensions, accessorial charges, and customs duty / brokerage fees.


Vendor Scorecard & Performance Analytics

  • Publish a monthly vendor scorecard covering on-time performance, quote response, claims rate, and cost vs. market.
  • Pull performance data from the TMS, carrier reports, and the Logistics Coordinator's exception log.
  • Surface underperforming vendors to the Director ahead of QBRs and contract renewals.


KPI & Reporting Dashboards

  • Own the weekly KPI dashboard covering on-time delivery, exceptions, customs clearance, booking lead time, and cost variance.
  • Produce monthly trend analysis at the lane, mode, and carrier level.
  • Partner with the Logistics Coordinator on root-cause attribution.


Customs & Trade Compliance Analytics

  • Spot-check declared values, HS classification, and Incoterms on Commercial Invoices for high-value or high-risk shipments.
  • Track customs duty and brokerage spend by lane, region, and product category; surface trends to the Director.
  • Monitor customs clearance time and hold patterns across regions; partner with the Logistics Coordinator on root-cause attribution.
  • Support trade compliance reviews and broker performance assessments across our regional gateways.


Rate & Spend Analytics

  • Run spot vs. contract rate analysis and surface re-bid opportunities.
  • Build lane-level spend reporting and identify consolidation opportunities.
  • Attribute demurrage and detention spend by lane and root cause.
  • Support annual procurement with contract negotiation data, rate cards, and the renewal calendar.


Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-4 years of analytical experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Finance, ideally in apparel, retail, wholesale, or 3PL / freight forwarding environments.
  • Hands-on experience with local customs regulations across multiple regions including but not limited to North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia covering HS classification, Incoterms, declared values, and broker workflows.
  • Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, Power Query); Power BI or Tableau experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with a TMS or ERP (Odoo TMS preferred); SQL exposure is a plus.
  • Finance literacy across rate cards, accessorials, duties, FX, accruals, and Net-term billing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to translate raw shipment and customs data into clear recommendations.
  • CSCMP, APICS, customs broker license, or equivalent certification is a plus.


Work Schedule: Monday to Friday.
