Job Description

We need someone who can build onboarding flows and backend architecture in the same week. Not a frontend dev. Not a backend architect. Someone who owns the platform design system to database.

The role

Lead Full Stack Platform Engineer (React Node.js AWS Bootstrap Design System). Remote. Full-time or contract.

What you will own

Bootstrap theme governance one shared CSS file, no drift, Figma-to-code discipline

React frontend component libraries, Core Web Vitals, onboarding flows, dashboards

Node.js backend API architecture, microservices, event-driven systems, WebSockets

Data layer schema design, ETL pipelines, sub-20ms query performance

Platform reliability auth, RBAC, monitoring, auto-scaling, security

AI-assisted development using Cursor, Copilot, and Claude effectively with engineering judgment

What you must bring

5+ years React in production including design system and component library ownership

5+ years Node.js building scalable APIs and backend systems

TypeScript across both sides non-negotiable

Bootstrap design system experience CSS architecture, not just utility classes

Database schema design you have built schemas AND the UI that consumes them

Production apps shipped with real traffic, monitoring, and tests in place

Nice to have

Vue Svelte GraphQL gRPC Kafka CQRS Kubernetes PWA Regulated financial or compliance-heavy platform experience

This is not the role for you if

You have never designed a database schema

You need a separate team to ship a single feature

Your backend experience is Java or Python only Node.js is required

You treat CSS governance as someone else's problem
