Role Description

We are looking for a skilled L2 Proxy / SSE Resident Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Secure Service Edge (SSE) technologies. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in proxy infrastructure, traffic management, and troubleshooting complex network and security issues in enterprise environments.

This is a customer-facing onsite role requiring both technical depth and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strong SSE Fundamentals

Understand SWG, CASB, ZTNA, FWaaS and overall traffic flow.

2. Proxy & HTTP/HTTPS Knowledge

Clear understanding of request flow, SSL decryption, and authentication.

3. Policy Management Skills

Ability to configure and troubleshoot URL filtering, app control, and DLP policies.

4. Traffic Steering & Bypass Handling

Knowledge of agent routing, PAC files, split tunnel, and bypass scenarios.

5. Basic CASB Understanding

Visibility into SaaS usage, Shadow IT, and tenant restriction concepts.

6. Hands-on Troubleshooting Expertise

Handle issues like CORS errors, SSL failures, app breakage, and latency.

7. Endpoint/Agent Troubleshooting

Diagnose agent issues, connectivity problems, and trusted network behavior.

8. Strong ZTNA Fundamentals

Understand Zero Trust principles (never trust, always verify) and app-based access model.

9. Security Awareness & Context

Understand risks like data exfiltration, GenAI misuse, and phishing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

45 years of experience in Proxy / SSE / Web Security technologies

Hands-on experience with enterprise proxy or SSE platforms (e.g., Zscaler, Netskope, Palo Alto Prisma Access, etc.)

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Good understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, TLS)

Ability to work in a 247 rotational shift environment

Strong communication skills for onsite stakeholder interaction

Preferred Qualifications

BTech/BCA/Bsc

Certifications in network/security (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Security+, vendor-specific SSE certifications)

Experience in enterprise-scale deployments and managed services environments
