Job Title: Kubernetes On-Premise Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Kubernetes On-Premise Engineer with strong experience in managing containerized applications in on-premise environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Kubernetes cluster deployment, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters on-premise (bare metal / VM-based environments)
• Install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes components (API server, scheduler, etcd, kubelet)
• Manage containerized applications using Docker & Kubernetes
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
• Work with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible, Terraform
• Handle cluster upgrades, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Ensure high availability, security, and performance of Kubernetes environments
• Configure Ingress controllers, Load Balancers, and Networking (CNI plugins)
• Implement logging & monitoring using tools like ELK, Prometheus, Grafana
• Collaborate with development and QA teams for smooth deployments

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (On-Premise setup is must)
• Experience with Docker / Containerization
• Good understanding of Linux system administration
• Experience in CI/CD tools (Jenkins / GitLab CI / Azure DevOps)
• Knowledge of Networking concepts (DNS, Load Balancing, TCP/IP)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Ansible)
• Experience in cluster troubleshooting and performance tuning

Good to Have

• Experience with Helm Charts
• Exposure to Service Mesh (Istio / Linkerd)
• Knowledge of Storage in Kubernetes (Persistent Volumes, NFS, Ceph)
• Cloud exposure (AWS / Azure / GCP) along with On-Prem
• Certification like CKA / CKAD
