The IT Administrator Function Lead is responsible for managing and governing IT administration operations across the organization. This role ensures reliable IT services, secure system administration, standardized processes, compliance with IT policies, and effective coordination with infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity teams.

Key Responsibilities
1. IT Administration & Operations Management
Own and manage day-to-day IT administration activities across locations.
Ensure availability and performance of end-user systems, servers, and IT services.
Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT administration tasks.
Coordinate with vendors for IT support, licensing, and service delivery.

2. User & Endpoint Management
Manage user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access control.
Ensure endpoint configuration standards for laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
Oversee OS builds, patching, antivirus/EDR installation, and system hardening.
Ensure asset tagging, lifecycle management, and disposal compliance.

3. Access Control & Privilege Management
Govern administrative access controls and ensure least privilege principles.
Ensure privileged access is granted only with proper approval and documentation.
Coordinate with Cyber Security for access reviews and audits.
Maintain records of admin access, temporary permissions, and approvals.

4. Infrastructure & Application Support
Coordinate with infrastructure and networking teams on server, storage, and network dependencies.
Ensure availability and support for business applications and internal tools.
Manage application installations through approved and controlled processes.
Oversee endpoint and application licensing compliance.

5. IT Service Management & Reporting
Ensure all IT activities are tracked via tickets, email trails, and documentation.
Maintain daily and weekly status reports for management review.
Monitor SLAs and ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
Avoid ad-hoc or undocumented work; ensure full traceability.

6. Audit, Compliance & Documentation
Prepare and maintain audit-ready documentation for IT administration.
Support internal and external audits (IT, security, compliance).
Ensure closure of audit points and corrective actions within defined timelines.
Maintain updated IT policies, SOPs, and checklists.

7. Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead and mentor IT Administration team members.
Assign tasks with clear ownership, timelines, and reporting.
Review team performance and ensure professional work practices.
Coordinate closely with Cyber Security and Networking Function Leads.

8. Business Continuity & Improvement
Support business continuity planning (BCP) and disaster recovery activities.
Identify gaps in IT administration processes and drive continuous improvement.
Recommend automation and standardization to improve efficiency.
