Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Internal Financial Auditor to independently conduct financial and operational audits across all global entities of the organization. The role will be responsible for evaluating financial controls, ensuring statutory and internal policy compliance, identifying process improvements, and mitigating financial risks.

The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, audit methodologies, and financial compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Financial Audits

• Plan and execute periodic internal audits across all finance functions.
• Review financial transactions for accuracy and compliance.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal financial controls.
• Verify compliance with company policies and SOPs.
• Prepare audit reports with observations, risks, and recommendations.

Accounts Receivable (AR) Audit

• Review customer invoicing.
• Verify revenue recognition.
• Monitor collections and outstanding receivables.
• Review ageing reports.
• Validate bad debt provisions.

Accounts Payable (AP) Audit

• Verify vendor onboarding and approvals.
• Review invoice processing.
• Validate payment approvals.
• Ensure duplicate payment checks.
• Verify statutory deductions.

Bank & Cash Audit

• Review bank reconciliations.
• Verify cash transactions.
• Monitor unusual banking activities.
• Validate fund transfers.
• Review bank balances.

General Ledger Audit

• Review journal entries.
• Verify ledger accuracy.
• Review month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Validate supporting documentation.

Payroll Audit

• Review payroll processing.
• Verify statutory deductions.
• Audit employee reimbursements.
• Validate payroll approvals.

Procurement & Expense Audit

• Review purchase approvals.
• Verify purchase orders.
• Audit employee expense claims.
• Validate supporting bills and approvals.

Fixed Asset Audit

• Verify fixed asset additions.
• Review depreciation calculations.
• Conduct periodic asset verification.
• Monitor asset disposals.

Compliance & Tax Audit

• Verify GST/VAT filings.
• Review TDS/WHT compliance.
• Audit corporate tax records.
• Monitor statutory filing timelines.
• Verify supporting documentation.

Financial Risk Assessment

• Identify financial risks.
• Recommend control improvements.
• Monitor implementation of corrective actions.
• Report high-risk observations to management.

Audit Reporting

• Prepare comprehensive audit reports.
• Maintain audit working papers.
• Track closure of audit findings.
• Present audit findings to senior management.

Governance & Process Improvement

• Develop audit checklists.
• Improve finance processes.
• Recommend automation opportunities.
• Assist in policy development and updates.

Educational Qualification

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance)
• CA Inter / CMA Inter (Preferred)
• CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) Added Advantage

Experience

• 45 years of experience in Internal Audit or Financial Audit.
• Experience auditing multiple finance functions.
• Exposure to multinational or multi-entity organizations is preferred.
• Experience with statutory auditors and external audits is an advantage.
