Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-driven HVAC Service Manager to lead our service operations, ensuring efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and customer satisfaction across HVAC systems. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on troubleshooting expertise and experience in VRF commissioning along with team management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Service Operations Management
- Lead and manage HVAC service operations including AMC, breakdown, and preventive maintenance
- Ensure quick diagnosis and resolution of service issues
- Allocate manpower efficiently for service calls and projects
- Maintain high service quality and adherence to SLAs
2. Technical Expertise (Critical Requirement)
- Strong hands-on experience in troubleshooting HVAC systems and diagnosing faults
- Expertise in VRF system commissioning (must-have)
- Handle complex technical issues across:
- VRF/VRV systems
- Chillers (Air-cooled & Water-cooled)
- AHU, FCU, Cassette & Ductable units
- Ensure systems are commissioned and functioning as per OEM standards
- Provide technical guidance to service engineers and technicians
3. Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and supervise service engineers and technicians
- Conduct technical training sessions (especially on troubleshooting & commissioning)
- Monitor performance and improve team productivity
- Ensure discipline, safety, and professionalism
4. Customer Relationship Management
- Manage key client relationships and ensure high satisfaction
- Handle escalations and critical breakdown situations
- Build long-term service contracts and client trust
5. AMC & Revenue Growth
- Drive AMC acquisition and renewals
- Identify opportunities for retrofit, repairs, and spare sales
- Achieve service revenue targets
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and contracts
6. Inventory & Spare Parts Management
- Manage spare parts planning and availability
- Coordinate procurement and reduce downtime
- Optimize inventory cost
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain service logs, reports, and commissioning records
- Track KPIs such as closure time, repeat complaints, and uptime
- Prepare MIS reports using ERP systems (Odoo preferred)
8. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols
- Conduct safety audits and enforce site safety practices
Key Requirements
Education
- Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC-related field
Experience
- 5-10 years in HVAC service and maintenance
- Minimum 5 years in a managerial role
- Experience in AMC handling and service team management
Technical Skills (Mandatory)
- Strong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills
- Hands-on experience in VRF commissioning
- Deep understanding of HVAC systems and controls
- Familiarity with OEM systems like LG, Mitsubishi, Toshiba
Soft Skills
- Leadership and team management

Preferred Skills
