Role Overview
Flashaid is looking for a senior distribution leader to build and scale its Mutual Fund Distributor and wealth advisor channel for a premium HNI health insurance product.
The role will own the full channel engine: identifying high-quality MFDs, onboarding them, training them, activating them, enabling sales, running advisor events, tracking productivity, and ensuring that the customer experience remains premium from pitch to policy issuance to claims support.
This is a high-ownership business-building role. The goal is to onboard 1,000 MFDs / wealth advisors in 12 months and convert them into a productive advisor network capable of selling Flashaids premium health protection product to affluent and HNI families
Key Responsibilities
1. Build the MFD / Wealth Advisor Channel
Identify and onboard 1,000 MFDs, IFAs, wealth advisors, insurance advisors and HNI financial distributors.
Prioritize quality over vanity onboarding: focus on advisors with active HNI / affluent client relationships.
Build city-wise and cluster-wise distributor acquisition plans.
Create a tiering model: platinum, gold and emerging advisors based on network quality and productivity.
Develop partnerships with MFD associations, wealth communities, financial planning groups and regional distributor networks.
2. Drive Activation, Not Just Registration
Define the activation journey: sign-up, product training, first client pitch, first policy, repeat sales.
Ensure a high percentage of onboarded MFDs become active sellers.
Run webinars, physical events, branch meetings, advisor roundtables and co-branded customer sessions.
Create monthly advisor activation targets and review them weekly.
Identify top-quartile advisors and double down with events, leads, sales support and founder access.
3. Own Sales Targets
Deliver annual policy and GWP targets through the advisor channel.
Translate the AOP target into monthly, city-wise and RM-wise plans.
Monitor policies per advisor, conversion rate, average ticket size and drop-off.
Build a repeatable sales playbook for HNI families.
Work with leadership to control channel spend and release budgets based on productivity milestones, as recommended in the AOP.
4. Build Advisor Sales Enablement
Create a simple, premium sales narrative for advisors.
Build pitch decks, objection-handling scripts, comparison sheets, WhatsApp creatives, customer FAQs and claims confidence material.
Train advisors to sell health protection as a trust-led family product, not a commodity insurance plan.
Help advisors explain Flashaids premium servicing, claim guidance, assistance and family protection positioning.
5. Coordinate Product, Insurance and Operations
Work with insurance, product, claims and operations teams to ensure smooth policy issuance and service delivery.
Escalate underwriting, issuance, documentation and claims bottlenecks.
Ensure the advisor and customer experience remains premium.
Collaborate with internal teams on product improvements, pricing inputs and distributor feedback.
6. Build the Operating Rhythm
Set up a CRM-led funnel for distributor onboarding and productivity.
Track weekly: new MFDs added, activated MFDs, first-policy conversion, policies sold, revenue, drop-offs and service issues.
Build a monthly business review pack for founders.
Maintain discipline on cost per activated advisor and cost per policy sold.
Required Experience
1015 years in wealth, mutual funds, insurance, financial distribution, broking, AMC, private wealth or HNI advisory channel sales.
Proven experience building and managing large advisor / distributor networks.
Strong relationships with MFDs, IFAs, wealth managers, regional distributors or insurance brokers.
Experience selling or enabling sales of high-consideration financial products.
Strong understanding of HNI customer behaviour, advisor economics and trust-led selling.
Comfort with targets, dashboards, CRM discipline and monthly business reviews.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, founder-led environment.
