Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fresher B. Arch. at The Design Cell in Kolkata. The role involves supporting senior architects in developing conceptual designs, preparing design presentations, and assisting with schematic and detailed drawings. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting plans, sections, and elevations; working on 3D visualizations or basic models; and helping create layouts and material boards. The fresher will assist in site visits, basic measurements, and documentation, as well as in coordinating with consultants and vendors under guidance. The role also includes organizing project files, participating in internal design discussions, and contributing ideas that align with project objectives and timelines.
Qualifications

Professional degree: Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch.) from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in architectural drafting and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), along with basic familiarity with presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, InDesign, or similar).
Strong foundation in architectural design principles, space planning, building systems, and basic construction detailing.
Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team-based studio environment and take feedback constructively.
Strong attention to detail, time-management skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Portfolio demonstrating academic projects with clear design thinking, visual clarity, and an understanding of context and user needs.
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and engage with both design and on-site aspects of projects in Kolkata.
