We are seeking a skilled FortiGate Firewall Engineer / Specialist with strong expertise in Fortinet technologies and enterprise network security. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing secure network infrastructures, with a primary focus on FortiGate firewalls and related security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and manage FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) in enterprise environments
• Administer and support Fortinet Security Fabric, including FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiClient
• Perform L2/L3 troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution (L2/L3 support) within defined SLAs
• Implement and manage VPN solutions (IPSec, SSL VPN) for secure remote connectivity
• Configure and optimize SD-WAN, firewall policies, NAT, routing, and security profiles (IPS, AV, Web Filtering)
• Monitor and analyze logs/events using FortiAnalyzer / SIEM tools for threat detection and response
• Conduct firewall audits, rule reviews, and compliance checks to ensure best practices
• Plan and execute infrastructure changes, upgrades, and migrations with risk mitigation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for security architecture improvements and automation initiatives
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, SOPs, and operational reports
• Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to junior engineer

Your Profile

• 310 years of experience in network security engineering, with strong hands-on expertise in Fortinet FortiGate
• Deep knowledge of: FortiGate Firewall policies, NAT, routing, VPNs
• FortiManager & FortiAnalyzer
• SD-WAN architecture and implementation
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience in incident handling, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with SIEM tools, packet analysis, and network monitoring tools
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix/Windows systems
• Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, or PowerShell) is an advantage
• Experience in 24/7 managed services environment is preferred

Preferred Certifications

• Fortinet NSE 4 / NSE 5 / NSE 6 / NSE 7 (highly preferred)
• Other security certifications (e.g., CCNP Security, Palo Alto, Check Point) are a plus
