Financial Controller

The Finance Controller serves as the principal custodian of financial governance for the India subsidiary. This role is accountable for the full spectrum of controllership from rigorous financial close and statutory compliance to strategic business partnering with global headquarters. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in Ind AS, IFRS, and Indian regulatory frameworks with the commercial acumen to influence operations, supply chain, and investment decisions. This is a high-visibility leadership role requiring the ability to operate with equal effectiveness on the factory floor and in the boardroom.

Responsibilities

Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting

Ensure compliance with local regulations (tax, statutory, IFRS)

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

Lead plant controlling, cost analysis, and margin improvement initiatives

Manage treasury operations, cash flow, and FX risk

Ensure strong internal controls and audit readiness

Partner with global and local stakeholders to support business decisions

Drive SAP-based financial processes and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

CA / CMA (mandatory); MBA Finance or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred

1012 years of progressive finance experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a controllership or plant finance role

Deep knowledge of Ind AS & IFRS (conversion experience advantageous)

Strong command of FEMA, RBI regulations, GST, direct tax, and transfer pricing frameworks

Background in manufacturing is a plus

Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
