Finance Manager

Job Title: Finance Manager Manufacturing (Activated Carbon)

Location: Trichy

Reporting To : Operations Director / CFO

Role Summary :

Responsible for managing plant-level finance, including costing, budgeting, compliance, statutory approvals, ERP systems and financial performance to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Well versed in manufacturing BOMs
• Product-wise/shipment wise contribution and cost optimization

Costing & Inventory Control

• Standard costing, yield analysis, and variance tracking
• Inventory valuation (RM, WIP, FG) and working capital optimization

Plant Finance Support

• Support operations with cost insights
• Evaluate Capex (ROI, IRR, payback)

Accounting & Compliance

• Monthly closing, P&L, Balance Sheet
• GST, TDS, Income Tax, audits

Statutory Approvals/compliances

• Liaise with government authorities and auditors
• Maintain al statutory approvals files & keep track of the renewals etc

ERP Management

• Manage ERP finance & costing modules
• Ensure data accuracy and understand interpret MIS reporting
• Support system improvements and user training

Dispatch, Export Invoicing & Controls

• Oversee dispatch-related financial controls and documentation
• Ensure accurate export invoicing, pricing, and documentation
• Monitor compliance with export regulations, GST, and customs requirements

Cash Flow Management

• Monitor receivables, payables, and working capital
• Implement and control petty cash system at plant level
• Ensure proper approvals, vouchers, and periodic reconciliation
• Prevent misuse through internal controls
• Provide insights to management on outstanding balances ,supplier payments & planning

Key Skills

• Manufacturing costing control & expertise (must-have)
• ERP systems knowledge
• Strong in statutory compliance & approvals
• Analytical and business-oriented mindset

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate with MBA (Finance)
• 712 years in manufacturing / process industry
• Experience in activated carbon / chemical industry preferred or with any manufacturing background
