Electrical Designer (SP3D)

Key Skills (Mandatory)

• Hands-on experience in SmartPlant 3D (SP3D)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience in electrical design and 3D modelling

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare cable tray layouts, power layouts, and detailed electrical drawings
• Design lighting systems, including layouts, DB schedules, circuiting, and fixture selection (classified areas)
• Develop single line diagrams (SLD) and electrical schematics
• Prepare layouts for:
• Electrical equipment
• Grounding systems
• Lightning protection
• Design and develop layouts for:
• CCTV systems
• Access control
• Telephone systems
• Public address systems
• Ensure compliance with hazardous area requirements
• Prepare BOQ/BOM for electrical systems
• Coordinate with CSA and other disciplines for support and design inputs
• Perform Inter-Disciplinary Checks (IDC)
• Update and maintain 3D models in SP3D

Technical Expertise Required

• Strong knowledge of:
• Electrical layouts and schematics
• Cable routing and tray design
• Lighting and power distribution systems
• Experience with tools:
• MicroStation (optional)
• Autodesk Revit (optional)
• Other 3D modelling tools

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to industrial projects (Oil & Gas / Chemical / Petrochemical)
• Experience in handling hazardous area classifications
• Strong coordination experience across disciplines

Soft Skills

• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and meet project timelines
• Attention to detail and accuracy in design

Role Summary

• The Electrical Designer will be responsible for developing detailed electrical designs and 3D models using SP3D and AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with industry standards and seamless coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
