Role Overview

This role will play a pivotal role in driving macroeconomic research and insights for the Institutional Equities business. The role involves tracking global and domestic economic trends, generating actionable insights, and supporting investment strategies for institutional clients.

Domain Knowledge / Competencies

• Strong understanding of macroeconomic frameworks, monetary and fiscal policies
• Deep knowledge of Indian and global economic environment
• Ability to analyze interest rates, inflation, currency movements, and policy impact
• Understanding of financial markets, capital flows, and economic indicators
• Familiarity with RBI policies, government regulations, and global central bank actions
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in economic modeling

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and publish macro-economic research reports, thematic notes, and outlook pieces
• Track and analyze key economic indicators including GDP, inflation, IIP, fiscal deficit, and liquidity
• Provide timely insights on RBI policy, Union Budget, and global economic developments
• Support Institutional Sales and Research teams with macro views and investment strategies
• Engage with institutional clients through presentations, meetings, and conference calls
• Build and maintain economic models and forecasting frameworks
• Collaborate with sector analysts to integrate macro views into equity research insights
• Contribute to morning meetings, client notes, and thematic discussions
• Track global trends including US Fed, ECB policies, commodity cycles, and geopolitical risks
• Provide actionable inputs for asset allocation and sector positioning
