Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain self-hosted data catalog environments on Linux-based systems.
- Perform platform upgrades, migrations, backups, and restore operations ensuring system continuity and data integrity.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot metadata extraction and query log ingestion pipelines.
- Implement and manage SSO and SCIM-based authentication and user provisioning for enterprise access control.
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based ETL workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
- Collaborate with data platform and engineering teams to manage connectors, credentials, and integration stability.
- Handle production support activities including incident tracking, resolution, and escalation using ServiceNow (SNOW).
- Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors for upgrades, migrations, and platform enhancements.
- Maintain operational documentation and ensure adherence to data governance and platform standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in system reliability, performance, and support processes.
Experience Required:
- 5 - 8 years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or enterprise data catalog environments.
- Strong hands-on experience in Python-based ETL development and data pipeline maintenance.
- Experience working with data catalog tools such as Erwin or similar platforms.
- Good understanding of Linux-based system administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with metadata management, data ingestion, and integration workflows.
- Knowledge of authentication systems like SSO and SCIM in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with incident management tools such as ServiceNow (SNOW).
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS is preferred.
- Strong debugging, RCA, and production support experience in enterprise systems.
