About Role/Project:

We are looking for a customization engineer primarily focused on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) customization. This role is critical in supporting enterprise customers by troubleshooting and resolving issues related to customizations, configurations, extensions, and platform behavior in Dynamics 365 CE.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in customization and extensibility within Dynamics 365 CE, including plugins, workflows, JavaScript, Power Platform, and solution architecture. The role requires deep understanding of how customizations impact system behavior, performance, and customer scenarios.

Responsibilities:

• Case Management & Customer Support
• Own and resolve customer support cases related to:

Dynamics 365 CE Customization

Power Platform (Power Apps, Dataverse)

Extensions and integrations impacting CE behavior

• Provide timely updates and maintain SLA adherence in a Microsoft Support environment
• Customization Troubleshooting & Debugging
• Troubleshoot issues related to:

Plugins, custom workflows, and business rules

JavaScript and client-side scripting

Custom APIs and integrations

Forms, views, entities, and model-driven apps

Solution layering and managed/unmanaged solutions

• Perform deep technical analysis:

Debug plugin execution and workflow failures

Analyze logs, traces, and telemetry

Identify root cause across customization, configuration, or platform

• Platform & Extensibility Analysis
• Investigate issues involving:

Dataverse schema and relationships

Security roles and access issues

Solution imports, upgrades, and dependencies

Performance issues caused by customizations

• Understand impact of customizations on:

System performance

Data integrity

User experience

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with:

Microsoft support ecosystem / engineering teams

Internal pods (Application, Client, Platform teams)

• Drive escalations, bug validation, and solution alignment
• Documentation & Knowledge Management

Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and best practices

Contribute to reusable knowledge base and troubleshooting guides

Identify recurring customization issues and recommend improvements

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: 37+ years in Dynamics 365 CE customization / development / support roles
• Strong expertise in:

Dynamics 365 CE Customization

Plugins (C#), Custom Workflow Activities

JavaScript (client-side scripting)

Power Platform (Power Apps, Dataverse)

Solution management (managed/unmanaged solutions)

• Experience in troubleshooting:

Plugin execution issues

Workflow failures

JavaScript/form issues

Solution import/export issues

Security and permission-related problems

• Good understanding of:

Dataverse architecture

SDK and APIs

Event pipeline and plugin execution context

• Good to have:

Experience working in Microsoft Support projects

Experience with integrations (REST APIs, Azure services)

Microsoft certifications (Dynamics 365 / Power Platform)
