Job Description
Role: Should Costing Engineer
Location: Kharadi, Pune
Experience Range: 5+ years
Work Mode: All 5 days onsite
Role & responsibilities
- Develop detailed should-cost models for sheet metal fabricated and machined components
- Analyze engineering drawings and define manufacturing processes
- Perform process planning including routing, machine selection, and operation sequencing
- Estimate cycle times, setup times, and overall manufacturing costs
- Evaluate cost drivers and identify cost reduction opportunities Technical
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Sheet Metal, Fabrication, and Machining processes
Good understanding of:
- Materials, alloys, and their costing Machine rates , Process cycle time estimation, Surface treatment and heat treatment processes & rates NDT inspection methods and their costing Hands-on experience in process planning
- Experience in part cost estimation and cost modeling
- Exposure to cost negotiation with customers/suppliers Knowledge of costing tools; experience with aPriori will be an added advantage.
