About the Company
The esteemed MIT-ADTU School of Film & Television, recipient of the National Film Award, is seeking a highly qualified Coordinator to oversee Academic Administration and Student Support functions. This strategic role is vital to ensuring seamless academic operations, regulatory compliance, and an engaging student environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the institutions academic excellence and operational efficiency by managing administrative processes, supporting student needs, and facilitating effective stakeholder communication.
About the Role
This role involves overseeing various academic administration and student support functions to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
Responsibilities
Attendance & Academic Record Management
- Maintain accurate records of attendance for both online and offline classes.
- Ensure timely data entry, validation, and reporting.
- Analyze attendance trends to enable proactive student engagement.
Compliance & Regulatory Adherence
- Ensure compliance with University Ordinances, UGC regulations, and relevant guidelines.
- Regularly review and update academic policies.
- Support preparations for audits and inspections.
Student Data Management
- Systematically manage student information for undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
- Maintain detailed records of academic progress, extracurricular activities, and personal data.
- Facilitate data sharing with relevant departments as required.
Faculty & Class Coordination
- Liaise with visiting faculty regarding attendance, schedules, and resource requirements.
- Oversee classroom logistics and monitor adherence to timetables.
- Assist faculty in delivering quality academic sessions.
Administrative Liaison & Documentation
- Act as a point of contact with the Administrative Department for faculty payments, documentation, and administrative submissions.
- Ensure timely submission and verification of required paperwork.
Academic Planning & Reporting
- Develop and monitor weekly, monthly, and semester schedules.
- Provide regular updates and analytical reports to senior management.
- Track schedule adherence and recommend adjustments as needed.
Student Engagement & Support
- Serve as the primary contact for student inquiries related to assignments, examinations, and academic concerns.
- Offer academic counseling and support student well-being initiatives.
- Document student concerns and monitor academic performance.
Examination Coordination
- Coordinate with university authorities for exam arrangements and hall ticket issuance.
- Ensure compliance with examination protocols.
- Address student queries related to assessments.
Feedback & Continuous Improvement
- Collect, analyze, and report on student feedback.
- Recommend enhancements in academic delivery and student services.
Events & Activities Management
- Organize academic events, field trips, and student activities.
- Manage logistics, permissions, and resource mobilization.
- Promote outreach and engagement initiatives.
Faculty Performance & Development
- Monitor faculty participation in evaluations and professional development activities.
- Encourage involvement in quality enhancement initiatives.
Academic & Outreach Initiatives
- Support the execution of academic programs and events.
- Coordinate promotional activities and outreach efforts to enhance visibility and recruitment.
Internship & Placement Facilitation
- Facilitate internship placements and industry engagement.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry partners.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform any other duties assigned by senior management, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Education, Administration, or related field; Masters preferred.
- Proven experience in academic administration or student support roles.
- Knowledge of educational regulations, compliance standards, and institutional policies.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, academic management software, and reporting tools.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
