Job Description
We are seeking a Controls Engineer with strong project execution and site exposure in industrial automation. The role involves PLC/HMI programming, commissioning, panel inspection, and coordination with vendors and customers across multiple project locations in India.
Education & Experience
- Diploma or BE/BTech in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronics
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in industrial automation / controls engineering
- Candidates with 4+ years and strong project exposure may also be considered
Project roles and responsibilities
Core Technical Skills (Mandatory)
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on PLC/HMI programming
- Experience in any of the following PLC platforms:
- (RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View)
- Strong troubleshooting capability in PLC, HMI, and field I/O
Project Exposure (Mandatory)
- Hands-on experience in automation project execution, including:
- PLC/HMI programming & modifications
- Site installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- FAT / SAT support
- Experience with machine automation, production lines, robotics cells, conveyors, SPMs, utilities, or process automation
Goals and deliverables
Electrical & Field Engineering Skills
- Ability to read, understand, and update electrical drawings
- Experience in:
- PLC & MCC panel inspection
- I/O checking, loop checking, and panel wiring validation
- Identifying site issues and updating drawings as per actual site conditions
- Basic exposure to VFDs, sensors, actuators, and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet / Profinet / Profibus)
Coordination & Documentation
- Experience in vendor and customer coordination for:
- Materials follow-up
- Service and site support
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to prepare:
- Operating manuals
- Commissioning and site reports
Other Requirements
- Willingness to travel anywhere in India based on project needs
- Open to contract -based roles
- Strong communication, ownership, and problem-solving skills
