About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Cloud Engineer / Solutions Architect with 3-5 years of experience to own our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and overall IT environment. The ideal candidate will design and operate workloads across both AWS and Azure, build and maintain deployment pipelines for multiple products, and act as the go-to person in the team for anything infrastructure, networking, or IT-related. This is a broad, ownership-heavy role combining solutions architecture, DevOps engineering, and internal IT support.
Key Responsibilities
Design, provision, and operate cloud infrastructure across both AWS and Azure including compute, storage, networking, databases, identity, and managed services.
Act as solutions architect for new initiatives like translate product and business requirements into well-architected cloud designs covering scalability, security, availability, and cost.
Build, maintain, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines for multiple products using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps Pipelines.
Containerize applications using Docker and manage orchestration with Kubernetes (EKS / AKS) or equivalent managed services.
Define and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, or similar tools.
Set up and operate observability logging, monitoring, alerting, and tracing, using tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
Own cloud and application securityIAM, secrets management, network segmentation, vulnerability scanning, patching, and adherence to best practices.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the CISO / external security team, coordinate VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing) cycles, ISO 27001 and similar certification audits, security questionnaires, and remediation of findings.
Manage office and product networking, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, domain management, and connectivity between cloud and on-prem environments.
Plan and execute backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures across cloud workloads.
Monitor and optimize cloud spend across AWS and Azure right-sizing, reserved capacity, and cost reporting.
Collaborate closely with the Lead Developer, QA, and Product teams on release planning, environment management, and production rollouts.
Document architecture, runbooks, incident response procedures, and IT policies in Confluence or equivalent.
Respond to production incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and drive preventive improvements.
Required Technical Skills
35 years of hands-on experience as a Cloud / DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer, with proven exposure to both AWS and Azure in production environments.
Strong hands-on with core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, CloudFront, Lambda, ECS/EKS) and Azure services (VMs, Storage, App Service, AKS, Azure SQL, VNet, Entra ID/Azure AD, Key Vault).
Solid experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for multi-service, multi-environment deployments.
Hands-on with Docker and at least one orchestration platform (Kubernetes, ECS, or AKS).
Proficient with Infrastructure as Code , Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure ARM/Bicep.
Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and tooling.
Good understanding of networking fundamentals , TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud networking constructs (VPC/VNet, subnets, security groups, NSGs).
Working knowledge of Linux system administration and basic Windows server administration.
Experience with monitoring and logging stacks , CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
Familiarity with cloud security best practices, IAM design, and tools such as AWS Config, GuardDuty, Azure Defender, or equivalent.
Experience coordinating VAPT engagements, supporting ISO 27001 / SOC 2 audits, and tracking security findings through to remediation.
Comfortable administering common SaaS tools used by the team , Google Workspace / Microsoft 365, Jira, Confluence, GitHub/GitLab, and identity providers (Okta, Entra ID).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
Experience with message queues and event-driven architectures (SQS/SNS, Service Bus, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Exposure to GCP or hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
Experience supporting regulated or enterprise customers with audit, compliance, and security review requirements.
Interest or experience using GenAI / LLM tools to accelerate DevOps and IT workflows.
What We're Looking For
Strong ownership mindset , treats infrastructure, pipelines, and IT as a product, not a ticket queue.
Broad generalist comfort , happy switching between cloud architecture, pipeline debugging, and helping a teammate fix their laptop on the same day.
Sharp troubleshooting skills across networking, infrastructure, and application layers.
Excellent documentation habits and proactive communication.
Comfortable being the team's first port of call for IT and infrastructure questions.
Bias for automation , prefers writing scripts and IaC over repeating manual work.
